For over 30 years, John Moffitt, Jr. has been actively involved in the residential real estate business. During this time, his objective has been to provide professional service in assisting clients whether they are listing, selling, or custom building their homes and to establish long-term business relationships by successfully completing the task at hand with expertise and integrity.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Denver in 1978 where he graduated with a double major in real estate and construction management.
His initial entrance into residential real estate was in 1977. While attending college, he obtained a broker’s license and worked at a local real estate company as a sales associate. After graduating from the University, Mr. Moffitt built houses for US Homes, the largest homebuilding company in the nation at that time. He oversaw the building and completion of over 300 homes in the 2 years he was employed. In 1981, he returned to his native Kansas City to take on the position of managing broker at John H. Moffitt & Co., Inc. where he supervised sales associates in every aspect of the business.
Eventually, he took over the presidency of the company and was in that position until his father, John Moffitt, Sr., passed away in 2001. Currently, he is CEO of John Moffitt & Associates with the local office in Overland Park, KS.
He is a senior member of both the National Association of Home Builders and the local Home Builders Association.
He has been an active board member of JDRF, TV 4 Love Fund, Catholic Education Foundation, as well as an active member KCRAR Board of Realtors.
